Elite Raid Rules

As a guild we want to create the best possible environment for PvE (player versus environment). So please, before you go on raid with us, read our rules and get to know our raid system.

We usually do 25mans with the guild in the weekends (Fri,Sat,Sun) Besides that, we have teams that do weekly 10mans together. The lineup for those 10man teams is always the same. People have to sign up to a list to get invited to those 10mans.

This is a list of the things we expect from everyone on our raids. It's not a lot and nothing to tough and anyone who is capable of sitting at a computer to raid is capable of following these simple rules.

1) Try your best – All we ask is that you try your best. Don't show up half halfheartedly saying "ooh we're doomed" - "this won't work" - "why bother". We have already done some amazing things with a small number of people. As we grow so will our list of accomplishments. That requires 100% dedication from all our members on any guild event you're participating in. With the way we do things each of you makes a difference between winning and wiping. We are a team. We win as a team and wipe as a team.

2) Raid supply – Always have flasks / elixirs / MP pots / food / scrolls with you for big and hard raids. In guild there are people that can make all of those. By having these, you improve our chances for survival and good progress.

3) Stand still and pay attention – On raids moving around is the best way to accomplish a wipe. Every raid is different that's why you should try to make this a habit. Even if you think it's ok, stand still. The only movements should be necessary ones. Example: If you have aggro run to the tank, never away from him.

4) Going AFK – Let the raid leaders know when you are about to go AFK (away from keyboard). We do not want to wait 30 minutes for every boss fight to start. Therefore, raid leaders will schedule a short break between boss fights when necessary. That way everyone can go AFK at the same time. Do not join the raid if you think you are going to be AFK a lot.

5) Never pass the Tank – Please we do not want to see anyone in front of the tank for any reason unless he calls you up to him. The tank knows that if he gets too many adds for us to handle he will die and get a ress. The tank knows what to pull and when to pull them. This will avoid any unwanted adds.

6) Assist key rule – Never DPS a mob that is not being attacked by a tank. This will cause weird aggro and will most likely get a healer killed. The macro below is an example of a macro that will bring you to the tank's (in this case Nuckchoriss) target every time:
/target Nuckchoriss
/assist

7) Sheep / Ice trap rule – We have mages and hunters who are skilled in controlling adds. So it is very important that you never under any circumstances attack a mob that is either sheeped or frozen, this includes using any form of AoE (area of effect) attack while we have frozen / sheeped mobs.

8) While looting – Showing recount in raid chat is fine (if someone asks for it) but don't spam raid chat with it while the masterlooter is trying to see rolls. Also, do not chitchat while looting in order to prevent any mistakes being made.

9) 25man PuGs rule – Mains are not allowed to go on 25man PuGs (pick up groups) or other guilds raids, only alts can do that. We do not demand anything from our members, such as the class or spec they should play, and our members are still free to do 5 and 10man PuGs, but we want this guild to be your first priority and going to 25man PuGs with an 1 week cooldown is not helping the guild at all.

10) Last but not least – Keep all of these rules in mind but don't forget to have fun. Happy raiding!

When you get invited to our raids, we expect you to have read these rules.
